Vendetta? DTSG Plans to Demolish DPP Leader’s Property in Warri

Tivo Superstores, Airport Road , Uvwie Local Government Area Being Marked For Demolition By The Delta State Ministry Of Land And Survey.
The last may not have been heard about the April 26th election in Delta State as the multi-Million naira TIVO-Super market belonging to former Commissioner for Finance in Delta State Under Olorogun James Onanefe Ibori. Olorogun Love Ojakovo has been marked for demolition for allegedly not working for the ruling party.

Independent investigation shows that the demolition exercise may not be unconnected with the defeat of the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP) in Ethiope East local government where Olorogun Ojakovo hails from Further investigation reveals that the order for the demolition of the two-massive structure housing TIVO-Super-market on Airport –Road and Robert Road, was allegedly issued by the State Commissioner for Land, Olorogun Fred Majemite who is also the husband of Mrs Faith Majemite the PDP Candidate who lost the election to DPP candidate in the just concluded election.
Already a Warri based lawyer and frontline activist Barrister Omemiroro Ogedegbe said in statement in Warri yesterday that he will use all his legal contacts to stop this open political radicalism being shown against a fellow Deltan for no just cause.
Tivo Superstores, Robert Alor, Warri South Local Government Area Being Marked For Demolition By The Delta State Ministry Of Land And Survey.
According to Barrister Ogedegbe the reason given by the Delta State Government for the threat to demolish this multi-million Naira business concern with over 200 employees which borders on alleged failure to meet certain town planning requirements, is patently untenable and should be seen as political victimization by the PDP led government in Delta state. According to our findings a powerful delegation of Delta State Government led by the State Deputy Governor, Prof. Amos Agbe Otuma had visited Olorogun Love Ojakovo to woo him into supporting the PDP but that the delegation was not pleased by the position of the TIVO-Super market owner who bluntly told the delegation that he has withdrawn from partisan politics since 2007 and has resolved to concentrate on his vast super-market business.
Barrister Ogedegbe statement reads in parts: “In the circumstances above, we urged the Delta State Government to order immediate reversal of this politically motivated threat within 30 days failing which we shall be constrained to institute a citizen’s action in public interest to protect the people and the Rule of Law in Nigeria.
But contacted by telephone, the Delta State Commissioner for Land and Survey, Olorogun Fred Majemite denied the allegation of political victimization rather he said, officials of the ministry of land and survey went to the said business concern to verify the acquisition papers to the said land.
He declined further comments when pressed further to react to how the two properties housing Tivo Superstores fall short of government requirements considering the fact that one of the properties is located in Uvwie local government while the other is located in Warri South local government
