The official decamping and formal registration of the two former PDP chieftains took place weekend in Orogun Ward II at the Orhomuru Primary School Play ground with dignitaries from all walks of life in attendance.
The event which started with a symbolic trick and sweeping of major roads leading to the event venue from the residence of the governorship aspirant to the ceremony ground, a trademark of the Action Congress of Nigeria was led by the governorship aspirant campaign manager, Chief Austin Uloho and his team. In an address presented by Barr. Ovie Omo-Agege, he said that his entrant and that of Senator Adego Eferakeya as members of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), mark the sweeping away of bad governance, corruption, oppression, suffering, incompetence and Godfatherism in the government of Delta state.
According to him, his quest to contest for the governorship of Delta state was borne on the fact that Deltans are groaning under the suffering induced on them by bad leaders and they are anxious for a new dawn where their votes will count as a tool for their eventual emancipation. He said that, “he had painstakingly evolved an all-embracing programme of action which would turn the state into a “New Jerusalem.” Hear him, “my government would usher in free education and manpower development, security of lives and properties and integrated Agriculture development.” He urged Deltans to hold on to the principle of one man one vote, to vote out the present corrupt, oppressive and exploitative government in Delta state.
In his vote of thanks, Senator Eferakeya Adego said that, “the fight to dethrone the present government of Delta state led by Dr Uduaghan come 2011 am fully involved,” adding that, “Uduaghan has money and everything but we have the will of the people.” “We are here to effect change; we join hands to make the change so that our children’s children can find a better place to stay,” he added.
