A DPP chancellorship aspirant

By: Godwin Utuedye
A DPP councillorship aspirant in the forthcoming local government election and also the youth leader in the Effurun-Otor Ward 3, Mr. Freeman Aghoshe has charged politicians who contested under the plat form of the PDP to always accept defeat in good faith and in the spirit of sportsmanship.
Mr. Freeman made the call at Otu-Jeremi on Friday May 6, 2011 shortly after the rerun result into the Delta State House of Assembly in Ughelli South constituency was announced in favour of the DPP.
Noting that the PDP has won and been in office for several years now and if the masses decided that it is high time they changed their leaders that the choice of the masses should be allowed to count.
Commending the dogged effort of the DPP flagbearer, Engr. Eme Mukoro whom he described as a patient and honest person, Mr. Freeman, said inspite of all the travail, distraction and discouragement, Engr. Mukoro remained steadfast in his course.
The councillorship hopeful called on DPP faithful never to relent their effort. He noted that the victory of the party in the Ughelli South House of Assembly is the beginning of its victory in the local government adding that the local government chairmanship and councillorship election is another avenue for the masses to chooses their leaders.

Condemning the role of some INEC officials and ad-hoc staff, Mr. Freeman noted that most of them were highly influenced alleging that some even manipulated result during the governorship election which was held on April 26, 2011 which he alleged was massively rigged in favour of the PDP. Adding that since the fasleful declaration of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan as the winner of the election, the DPP leadership and faithful has remained calm but that if it were to be the PDP that was defeated, they would have called for cancellation of the election. An act the youth leader and politician condemned in all its entirety.
